Since 1982 Mari Jo has worked in development and volunteer services with health and human service nonprofits, churches, healthcare, and an operating foundation as an executive director, chief development officer, volunteer coordinator, and grants administrator.

Mari Jo has been a member of the NC Triad Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals since 1993.

She holds a B.A. from John Wesley College, a B.S. from Old Dominion University, and served Active Duty US Navy, Honorable Discharge, Secret Clearance.
